What to do in Amelia Island this Spring Break

Amelia Island is full of fun places to visit for family members of all ages. Spend time outdoors, plan a beach day, or take a tour around Amelia Island visiting some favorite historic spots. Whether you’re a local looking to explore or you’re trying to plan the perfect family-friendly spring break trip, Amelia Island is the place to go! Here are a few places to look into when planning your spring break:

Amelia Island Nature Center

The Amelia Island Nature Center, located at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, is the perfect place to take your family this spring break. The Nature Center’s staff help create an educational and fun experience by teaching children about biology and environmental studies. You’ll also find kayak tours, segway tours, paddleboarding, and pedalboarding. You can also rent fishing gear to catch your own bass. Don’t forget to register in advance to reserve your spot!

Amelia Island Museum of History

Amelia Island’s Museum of History gives a glimpse into the island’s history through tours, exhibits, an interactive children's area, and more. Walking tours will take guests through the Historic Centre Street and into the Silk Stocking District, educating them about some of the historical figures that influenced Amelia Island’s architecture. These tours can be modified to be more child-friendly, as well.

Amelia Island Escape Rooms

A great option for older children and teenagers on your trip is the Amelia Island Escape Rooms. Each escape room offers an exciting puzzle that your group solves using riddles to escape.
