Hop to the 1st Annual Island Hop Craft Beer Fest!
From Food to Drinks to Live Music, the Island Hop Craft Beer Fest is Sure to Be A Blast!
Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Hop to the Island Hop Craft Beer Fest on September 18th, from 1PM to 5 PM (early VIP entry at 12PM) to sample local and regional brews! Not to mention the amazing food trucks and live music, it’s going to be a party to remember.
A Brief History of Island Hop Craft Beer Fest
Hosted by the Fernandina Beach Main Street Foundation, a 501(c)(3) established to promote economic vitality and historic preservation, this year marks the first ever Island Hop Craft Beer Festival fundraiser, which will surely become an annual tradition. Proceeds help the organization fund programs preserving Fernandina Beach’s history and historic district while supporting small local businesses.
Amelia Island Breweries
First Love Brewing exists to bring great beer and passionate people together under the same roof. Much of their grain and hops comes from the Mid-West or West Coast, but they include local ingredients to flavor their beer as often as possible. If you’re looking for more love from First Love, their Brew Pub is open year round at 22 South 8th Street.
The newest addition to the Amelia Island craft beer scene is Mocama Beer Company. Meaning “ocean” in the Timucuan dialect, Mocama Beer Company wants to help change the world and have a positive impact on the environment. Their recipe of one-part technical precision and one-part creative art has resulted in 12 savory beers on tap. Be sure to visit the Mocama Beer Company taproom outside of the fest at 629 South 8th Street.
Founded in 2016, the Amelia Island Brewing Co. offers a wide variety of in-house brewed drinks and great local food. They pride themselves on doing things differently and “holding the line,” meaning they do it all the right way, from the food to the brewing process to everything else. Whether you’re looking for a Wild Strawberry Hardcraft Seltzer or a Dragonlords 6 Double IPA, they have a drink everyone is sure to enjoy. Make sure you’re not drinking on an empty stomach with their wide variety of appetizers (kimchee fries or beer cheese, anyone?) and entrees (shrimp po’ boys, mahi tacos, and patty melts, oh my!)
We’ve barely scratched the surface on the great breweries represented at the 1st Annual Island Hop Craft Beer Fest. Be sure to check out SJ Brewing Company, Florida Brewers Guild, Legay Ale Works, Dog Rose Co., Ancient City Brewing, Boldy City Brewery, Intuition Ale Works, Veterans United Craft Brewery, Marlin and Barrel, and Fishweir Brewing. Find the complete list of offerings on the event website.
Food Trucks All Over!
What’s a brew fest without some something to satisfy your grumbling belly? All of your favorite traveling taverns from across Northeast Florida have made the trek. Twisted Okie Food Truck, Beyond Horizion, Backwood Meat Smokerz, Josies’ Latin Fusion, Kona Ice, and the German Street Food will be parked alongside the fest! And, of course, Timoti’s and Cafe Karibo will be in attendance making sure no one goes hungry. Timoti’s will have our own tent, serving up some seafood stew over rice and lobster rolls, and other mouth-watering small bites!
Get Ready to Rock
There’s no such thing as a good party without some music! Lucky for us, The Honey Badgers will be performing their signature blend of classic rock songs throughout the day. Grab a brew, grab a bite and get ready to rock on.
Make sure to buy your tickets online before the event sells out. You don’t want to be left out until next year!
Timoti’s Seafood Shak

Our new Ponte Vedra location also features a playground for kids to play in. Visit our other locations in Fernandina Beach, Five Points, and Amelia Island.
