The sun is shining and the palm tree is lit—it’s Christmastime in Florida! For those of you that reside in northern St. Johns County, check out a few of our favorite things to do in December to get in the spirit.

In need of a stocking stuffer everyone will love? Pick up Timoti’s Cajun Blackening Blend in between holiday activities at both Timoti’s locations in Nocatee and Fernandina Beach.

Christmas Golf Cart Parade

Get out the tinsel and the lights, it’s time to deck out those Golf Carts for the holidays. There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than showing off your decorating skills and cheering on your neighbors in the annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade.

Community members can participate by decorating their own golf cart and driving in the parade or just cheering as the carts roll by. Arrive early to scope out a great spot to watch along the parade route!

Apologies to Nocatee-a-Glow, but Nights of Lights has been named National Geographic Traveler’s Top Ten places in the world to see holiday lights—and what better way to see it than with Christmas carols, cookies and hot cider. Magic viewing glasses are provided for all aboard which transform the lights into fun holiday shapes.

St. Augustine Christmas Parade

Holidays and parades go together hand and hand. Just like holidays, parades also bring out the child in everyone. Get family and friends together and find a spot to catch Saint Augustine’s annual Christmas Parade. You can see decorated floats, live music from marching bands and even Santa is coming to town. This parade has been happening for years and people continue to travel back each year for it. A great place to create family holiday memories. The route begins at Nombre de Dios off of San Marco Avenue and travels through downtown St. Augustine.
