With the start of a new season, there are many events in Jacksonville to attend this spring. With amazing entertainment, competitions, and festivals you can’t go wrong. Keep reading to hear what events are coming up this season.
1. Flying Trucks… Oh My.
Monster Jam is back for another year of giant trucks. This event is a motorsport competition where participants defy gravity and rip up some mud. This event takes place March 6-7th, and will be held at the TIAA Bank Field.
2. Take Part in the Race
One of the largest 15k races in the country, the Gate River Run takes place on Duval Street in Jacksonville. This historical race has been around since 1978, and even has a 5K and virtual option. Make sure to register before March 20th to participate in the race, or you can cheer on your favorite runner from the sidelines.
3. Strawberry Festival
Delicious, sweet, and fresh strawberries are a staple in Florida agriculture. Did you know that there is a whole festival dedicated to strawberries? In fact, the Clay County Strawberry Festival has many delicious strawberry options to choose from, live entertainment, and many more family-friendly activities.
4. John Williams: Heroes and Villains
If you’re a fan of John Williams’ music, then brace yourself. The Jacksonville Orchestra is putting on John Williams: Heroes and Villains. This concert will feature amazing movie soundtracks from your favorites, such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, and much more. Make sure to book your tickets before they run out!
5. Endless Fun At Five Points
Looking to keep it low key? There's always something to do at Historic Five Points in Jacksonville. Pop in for Happy Hour Monday to Friday at Karibo Kitchen for a bite before catching a flick at the historic Sun Ray Theater, or window show at the eclectic boutique shops.
