Riverside Arts Market

 

When: Every Saturday, 10:00am – 3:00pm

Where: 715 Riverside Ave

Experience a quintessential Jacksonville Saturday morning at Farmer’s Row featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, honey and other harvests from local farmers.

As the afternoon continues, check out Saturday Brews with new local craft beers.

The Riverside Arts Market has something for everyone, with craft booths, morning yoga, musical performances and open mic opportunities.

 
 

Science and History Tours on the St. John’s River

 

When: Every Saturday, 1:00pm & 3:30pm

Where: 1025 Museum Circle

Float on down the St. John’s River on an educational guided tour. The tour’s History Host interacts with guests while sharing all the secrets of Jacksonville, FL. As a bonus, you’ll learn about the significance the St. John’s River has in the community! Jacksonville 48 Hour Film Project

 

When: May 21st – 22nd, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Where: Museum of Science and History

The annual Jacksonville 48 Hour Film Project is the ultimate battle of creators. In a match of creativity, improvisation, skill and organization, 45 teams of filmmakers compete to make the best short film in 48 hours.

Winning films will go to Filmapalooza for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2020 Short Film Corner.

 
 

Lechlade Festival

 

When: May 24th – May 26th, 10 am – 10 pm

Where: Riverside Park

Returning for its 9th consecutive year, the Lechlade Festival offers three amazing days of live music and family entertainment. With over 100 performers, catch everything from live music, to comedy, to burlesque on the stages this weekend.

Ready to try out some skills yourself? The festivals packed program includes free workshops where you can learn circus skills, music, dance, crafts and relaxation. When your stomach starts to grumble, peruse the shopping village for a wide selection of food stalls. Bring the whole family and let the kids enjoy rides, games and costumed characters!

 
 

Memorial Concert and Picnic in the Park

 

When: May 27th, 5 pm – 6 pm

Where: Memorial Park

Dust off your picnic blankets and put on your finest red, white and blue outfit- The Memorial Concert and Picnic in the Park is here! This community event features the U.S. Navy Band Southeast in a free concert.

Community members are encouraged to come out and honor all Americans who have given their lives while in military service. Come out to the park early with blankets, folding chairs and snacks and join the City of Jacksonville for a patriotic afternoon!
