Join our community May 3rd through May 5th for the 56th Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival. Expect an unforgettable weekend of fresh-caught seafood and family fun! The festival highlights local seafood, live music, antiques, fine arts and plenty of kid-friendly activities. Consistently recognized in the Top 25 of North America’s Best Events by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the festival draws in over 130,000 visitors during the three-day event.

All food booths are staffed and run by a Nassau County, Florida non-profit organizations. With no commercial food vendors allowed, all food is truly fresh caught and locally prepared. You are guaranteed to get a real taste of the Fernadina shore.

Festival Parade
Rocking the 2019 theme of Rock’n’Roll shrimp, the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival Pirate Parade is jam-packed with fun for the whole family. With a mix of antiques, pirates and local pride, the string of floats compete for first place in categories like Best Special Effects, Judge’s Choice and many more.
Festival Pageant
Open to high school juniors and seniors of Nassau County, the title 56th Annual Isle of Eight Flags Festival is looking to throne a new Miss Shrimp Festival 2019. Contestants will be judged on poise, personality and interview responses. Witness potential royalty on Friday, May 3rd as all contestants participate in the Pirate Parade. Shortly after, catch the Miss Shrimp Festival Pageant at the Riverfront Stage to find out who will be crowned!V

The 56th Annual Shrimp Festival also features an antique festival, arts and crafts show, decorated shrimp boats, a Shrimp run and kid-friendly activities.
