Cruise into Rest and Relaxation

Fall for Shrimp… Literally
This year’s Falling For Shrimp plans to be even more eventful than ever. The family-friendly event will be from October 1st-3rd where everyone can enjoy great music, food, crafts, and arts. Their website has more details regarding the schedule of events and sponsors.
Puppies and Pasta!
Pasta 4 Paws is an annual event hosted by the Nassau Humane Society. They host a silent auction to benefit the society, not to mention there will be a pasta dinner! This year’s event will be on October 9th at the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center Auditorium.
Travel Back in Time with the Classic Car Show
On October 16th, prepare to go back in time with the 24th Annual 8 Flags Car Show. This car show highlights a wide variety of Corvettes, from restored antiques to modern, limited-edition cars. The show benefits the Fernandina Beach and Yulee High School applicants and is free to the public.
Book Your Ticket to Run on the Airport Runway
Join in this one-of-a-kind 5k to run on the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, through the Run the Runway 5k. 100 percent of the net proceeds go to underprivileged children in South America through STEM education resources via PASSAGE or Providing Aid in Science for South America’s Education. Help a Whale of a Cause
From November 6th through 7th celebrate the annual return of the endangered North Atlantic right whales at the Right Whale Festival. These whales come to the Georgia and Florida coastlines to give birth and nurse their young babies. The festival emphasizes protecting these whales since there’s less than 400 whales remaining. Spend the day learning about these amazing animals and how to help protect them!
Watch the Largest Petanque Event in the Americas
Amelia Island will be hosting the Amelia Island Open – Petanque Tournament from November 12th- 14th. Spectators and players from all over the world travel to Amelia Island for this event to watch players, enjoy the local food vendors, and listen to the live music.
