Just north of St Johns County, Nocatee was built on the premise of a strong sense of community. Conveniently located shops, great food and gorgeous parks allow both residents and Nocatee visitors alike to experience a diverse environment close to home. Nocatee was created with the vision of quality living in peaceful beauty (I mean, what else do you need?) with employment opportunities, housing and schools. With a vision for fun built for the whole family, it’s a lovely spot in which to reside or spend a day. Check out 3 ideas for things to do in Nocatee on your next trip, and don't forget to give us a visit in our Nocatee Town Center location.

Parks

Like most of our beautiful state, Nocatee is well-known for its beautiful weather and great scenery. On a warm spring day, check out Nocatee Community Park, where you can explore hiking trails, soccer fields, tennis courts and a dog park for families with 4-legged friends. Soak up the sun at Cypress Park with a large pool, resident’s clubhouse, playgrounds and sports fields. For more extreme water fun, Splash Water Park features multiple pools, giant water slides and even a lazy river. Ready to cast a line? Davis Park has four different fishing ponds surrounded by beautiful scenery, as well as sporting fields.  Other parks in this area includes Greenleaf Park, Twenty Mile Park and Spray Park.

Outdoor Activities

Over 5,000 acres were set aside when developing Nocatee to devote to outdoor activities. Walk, run or cycle your way down hiking trails, or grab a paddle and launch a kayak to explore Florida's waterways. With Roger O’Steen, Senior Partner and Chairman of The PARC Group, as the master planner of the Nocatee community, the golfing life-style was taken into serious consideration through the development process. (O'Steen has directed the development of seven golf communities and courses.)  The most famous course nearby is Sawgrass, where the TPC attracts around 150,000 golf enthusiasts each May.

Local Events

Gather fresh, local produce from area farmers each Saturday morning at the Nocatee Farmer's Market, and check out area artisans and crafts. Residents often enjoy community clubs, such as a basketball club, beer lovers club, business professionals club, surf club, book club and more. Food Truck Fridays and Family Drive-in movie nights are just some of the favorite events held at the Nocatee Swim Club each month.
