Zoom It Up

Just because you’re celebrating the New Year in quarantine doesn’t mean you have to do it alone. Create your own zoom party, so you’re able to enjoy bringing in 2021 with friends and family. You can create party games such as trivia about 2020 to see who paid the most attention during the craziest times of the year. Don’t forget to order your favorite food from local restaurants, and reflect on your favorite quarantine moments by screen sharing your most memorable (or even forgettable) moments of 2020.

DIY Screening Party

Create your own screening party with your quarantine circle. Start by hanging a light-colored bed sheet on the wall, whatever size you’d like. If you have a projector then you’re all set, but if not no worries – simply create one out of a cardboard box and project using your phone. This way it’ll feel like you’re live in New York, ringing in the New Year with musical performances. If you’re hosting a small get together with friends and family, it will be the perfect way to get amped for the year ahead.

Socially Distanced Parade

Ready to march into the New Year in-style? Host an outdoor get together, heading from one house to another in your neighborhood by creating your own car parade. Create and hang signs from the sides of car windows, break out the horns and noisemakers, and don party hats to take it to the next level. Sharing joy with friends and neighbor – even from a distance – can be a fantastic way to lift spirits, and move into a fresh new year.
