Upcoming Events Near Fernandina Beach 

If you’re looking to try something new this summer, head to Fernandina Beach! Take a stroll down Fernandina Beach Main Street for food and shopping, or spend the day outdoors at the Fernandina Farmers Market. You can pay a visit to any of Fernandina’s beach front parks to enjoy some time in the sun, or take a kayak tour to get out on the water.  Fernandina Beach will also host a few fun events this summer such as concerts and festivals. 

 

Sounds on Centre 

This summer, fans of live music will gather at Downtown Fernandina Beach’s Sounds on Centre. On the first Friday of June, August, and September, musicians from across the country like Amelia Blues Project will perform at this free concert. Fun for the whole family, Sounds on Centre takes place from 6pm-8pm on Centre Street, and all proceeds from the event’s t-shirt sales are donated to local community service organizations like the Pirate Club, Police Auxiliary, and college scholarships.

 

Fernandina Beach Pride Festival 

Show your support to the LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month by attending the Fernandina Beach Pride Festival. The Pride festival will take place on June 11th beginning at Central Park with a walk down the parade route. The parade begins at 10am, and afterwards, the festival will take place from 11am to 6pm. Enjoy speakers, music, informational booths, food trucks, and children's activities, along with chances to picnic with family and friends. 

 

Juneteenth Jumpoff

Juneteenth is a celebratory day that marks the ending of slavery and honors African-American culture. This Juneteenth, Peck/Charles Eugene Richo Field will be the home to Fernandina Beach’s Juneteenth Jumpoff. Starting at 12pm on June 18th, this free, family-friendly event will include food trucks, informational booths, vendor markets, and child-friendly games and activities. You can even set up a family tent to spend the day at the event. 

 

4th of July Hometown Celebration

The City of Fernandina Beach and Florida Public Utilities will host this year’s Independence Day celebration with Hometown 4th of July Fireworks. Beginning at 4pm on July 4th, this celebration will include a DJ, food trucks, and commercial vendors. This event is free and open to the public, and make sure to stay until 9pm to see the fireworks show!

 

Fishing Rodeo

On Saturday, August 6th, the 39th Annual Fishing Rodeo will begin at 2pm. Hosted by the Nassau Sport Fishing Association, the Fishing Rodeo will involve four species of offshore and four species of backwater game fish targeted for cash prizes. This is a family-friendly event.
